Delete Your Account
Request deletion of your CallMyKin account and personal data
Important Notice
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including your profile information, saved preferences, learning progress, and any subscription history will be permanently removed from our systems.
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove the following data associated with your account:
- Your profile information (name, email address)
- Account credentials and authentication data
- Learning progress and quiz history
- Saved bookmarks and favorites
- Family tree data and custom relationships
- App preferences and settings
- Device tokens and push notification preferences
What We May Retain
Certain information may be retained for a limited period even after account deletion for the following purposes:
- Legal compliance: Transaction records may be retained as required by tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years)
- Fraud prevention: Certain identifiers may be retained to prevent abuse
- Backup systems: Data may persist in backups for up to 30 days before being fully purged
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is through the CallMyKin app:
- Open the CallMyKin app on your device
- Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
- Scroll down to Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your identity by entering your password or using biometric authentication
- Read the deletion confirmation and tap Delete My Account
Your account will be scheduled for deletion immediately. You will be signed out and your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Option 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion via email:
- Send an email to callmykin89@gmail.com
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your CallMyKin account
- We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days
Please send the request from the same email address you used to register your account to help us verify your identity.
Option 3: Data Subject Access Request
You can also submit a formal data subject access request (DSAR) to exercise your right to erasure:
Submit Data Access RequestThis form allows you to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, Australian Privacy Act, etc.).
Cancelling Active Subscriptions
Important: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. To avoid being charged after account deletion, please cancel your subscription first:
iOS (Apple App Store)
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your Apple ID at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find CallMyKin and tap Cancel Subscription
Android (Google Play Store)
- Open Google Play Store
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap Payments & subscriptions
- Find CallMyKin and tap Cancel
Processing Time
Account deletion requests are processed as follows:
- In-app deletion: Immediate account deactivation, full data deletion within 30 days
- Email requests: Processed within 30 days of identity verification
- DSAR forms: Processed within 30-45 days as required by applicable law
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will no longer be able to sign in to CallMyKin with your previous credentials
- Any active subscription will continue until the end of the billing period (you must cancel separately)
- You may create a new account using the same email address in the future
- Your previous data and progress will not be recoverable
